Utopia Video

With this utopia video we aimed to create a visual of our "perfect" world. To do this we used colors and brightness to convey happiness and peace. We also used certain angles to impress upon the observer the idealistic world we were trying to capture.

Dystopia Video

In our dystopia video we used the dull weather to highlight the negativity and sadness of this world. We filmed old buildings, graffiti and other classically "dystopian" things around downtown Portland. This video conveys a world that is void of the idealistic ideas shown in our previous video.

Dystopia and Utopia Pre-Work

Dystopia
Definition  of Dystopia: The opposite of a utopia. This is a world where nothing is perfect and the problems that plague our world are often more extreme and evident.

Utopia

Surrealism

I found that my images all turned out to strongly resemble collages. I actually really liked this and my personal preference is to keep them very simple.
